Where is College GameDay this week? Place, time, what you should know WWE Bad Blood 2024 Preview: Roman Reigns' return match is nothing to write home about unless 'the big one' finally comes back

Wednesday marked the official start of a new work week for the Dallas Cowboys as they had some time to rest after their win over the New York Giants last Thursday night.

Unfortunately for Dallas, the win came at a cost as Micah Parsons suffered a high ankle sprain and DeMarcus Lawrence suffered a foot injury. It is expected that the former will miss at least this week's game and the latter will miss significantly as he has been officially placed on injured reserve. In case you missed it, the Cowboys have poached KJ Henry from the Cincinnati Bengals' practice squad to acquire a new pass rusher.

What's even more unfortunate is that the Cowboys' injury problems apparently didn't end there. It was reported Wednesday morning by ESPN's Todd Archer that wide receiver Brandin Cooks will miss at least Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and possibly more. Apparently Cooks developed an infection in his right knee after undergoing surgery following the win against the Giants.

This is a terrible development for Brandin Cooks and we certainly hope he is well and recovers as quickly as possible.

When it comes to football operations, the Cowboys find themselves in some waters that no team wants to be in right now. From today's perspective, they already lacked enough good playmakers on offense alongside CeeDee Lamb. With Cooks sidelined for the time being, we can expect rookie Ryan Flournoy to at least be promoted, but he will join a group that includes Jalen Tolbert, Jalen Brooks and KaVontae Turpin that is still very raw overall.

This news will likely fuel speculation about Dallas trading for superstar wide receiver Davante Adams, a move they were also reportedly linked to on Wednesday morning. However, other sources say the Cowboys are not interested in Adams.
